Using this site

Our intention.

We have tried to organise this site to be simple and straightforward to use with the potential to arrive at galleries of images specifically relevant to your search path by no more than 5 clicks on sub menus, thus minimising the need to scroll. For this reason we have also limited the number of images on each page to 15 with multiple pages as required within each Gallery.

Search and navigate the site.

We have included 5 alternative search methods.

1. Pictorial – Click on the thumbnail images on a progressive path of visually referenced menus to arrive at sets of image galleries & images which relate to any chosen search path. (Tip: try using singular if plural term does not work i.e. mural / murals)

2. Menus – Select a path through a series of page titles, by content, from the drop down menus on the header bar , to quickly navigate to the same series of end image galleries.

3. Search box – Typing the name of a specific subject, object or key word into the search box, in the top and/or bottom right hand corner of each page, will locate galleries & images related to your search. (Tip: try using singular if plural term does not work i.e. mural / murals)

4. Tag Cloud – The tag cloud located in the search menu  is the most comprehensive method of searching the site. Click on any of the relevant descriptions to find images pertinent to your specific search.

5. Maps – The maps allow you to search the city area by area of for specific buildings in Central Glasgow.

Retracing your steps.

As you progress through the site from sub menu to sub menu (page to page) a relevant tag relating to each of the steps in your search will appear across the banner at the top of the site which is repeated in the footer at the bottom of each page By clicking on the appropriate link (blue breadcrumb) you will be able to return to an earlier sub menu or page and recommence your search by an alternative route. There is always also the option to return to the front menu and start an entirely new search by a different route.

Your Selection – The Order Enquiry Form.

Please note that by using this feature you agree to the creation of stored cookies to enable the functionality.

The Your Selection page, at the right hand side of the top menu, is where images will be saved to allow you to place an order or enquiry form which you can use to contact us with the details relevant to the images you have chosen for reproduction or purchase as prints. Images selected for purchase, or consideration, can be added to your selection at any point directly from the end galleries.

This feature allows you to store images from the galleries to a specific selection page, by clicking on the add to selection icon beneath each thumbnail in the gallery pages. Here images pertinent to both your current search and any anticipated future applications can be saved at any point where they will be stored for your personal future reference to look at again at a later date either when you return to the site or until you choose to delete the images or contact us regarding your enquiry.  You can access your selection page, in the header menu, at any point whilst using the site and to return to your current search using your browser back button.

When you click on the add to selection icon, a thumbnail  and a catalogue reference number for each image selected will automatically be added to your selection, to avoid any possible mis-naming, should you subsequently decide to make an enquiry or place an order. Once you have selected an image the icon below the thumbnail changes to “already selected” to confirm that this image has been added to the selection page. You can always then check the selection page to review your choice and reassure yourself that it has been saved.

When you have finalised your choices and are ready to place an order, first select how you wish to order the image by selecting one of the four available options – Web Use, Print Run, Standard Quality Print or Art Quality Print, then complete the relevant fields pertinent to your enquiry/order which automatically appear, and submit the appropriate form. The details of your enquiry including a thumbnail  and a catalogue reference number for each image added to your selection will then automatically be sent directly  to us, to avoid any possible mis-naming.

Neither adding images to your selection page nor forwarding your potential selection will be construed as a commitment to purchase until we have replied to your enquiry and a fair and relevant price for the image usage has been agreed.
